Keep Kelham looking good

Report a problem

Spotted litter, fly-tipping, a broken street light or something worse? Here's who to tell. Reports are what get problems fixed, and they build the case for more cleaning and enforcement in the area.

Streets

Litter, fly-tipping, street lights & potholes

Report these to Streets Ahead, who look after Sheffield's roads, pavements, lighting and street cleaning. Add a photo and the exact spot if you can.

Kelham Island and Neepsend have been flagged to Amey and Streets Ahead as a cleaning hotspot, and the area's cleaning schedule is being reviewed. Every report helps keep the pressure on.

Enforcement

Littering, dog fouling & fly-tipping

The Council's new WISE environmental enforcement officers now cover the area. They can hand out on-the-spot fines when they see someone littering or not picking up after their dog, and they gather evidence on fly-tipping so it can be followed up.

If you see fly-tipping, report it with as much detail as you can: where, when, what's been dumped and anything that might identify who did it. Don't touch or move it.

Safety

Women & girls' safety

Harassment, spiking, being followed or made to feel unsafe on a night out is never OK, and it's always worth reporting. If you're in danger, call 999. Inside a venue, you can go to the bar and Ask for Angela and staff will help you discreetly.

Run a venue? The Sheffield Women and Girls' Safety Charter sets out seven practical steps, from naming a safety champion to staff training and clear ways to report. It's free and voluntary. Get in touch with the Council at safetycharter@sheffield.gov.uk, and Love Kelham can help you share what you're doing.
