Built as a coaching inn in 1821 and reopened in 2011 as a real ale and music pub, Shakespeare's has served over 6,000 different cask ales since. The Bards Bar upstairs hosts live acts most nights; folk sessions happen downstairs. Several rooms, a large beer garden, and house beers from Abbeydale and Red Willow. Twice voted one of the top four beer bars in England by RateBeer.
