The Forest sits just far enough up the hill from the Kelham Island circuit to stay a proper local — unfussy, friendly and with prices to match. It's the tap for Toolmakers Brewery next door, and a great place to try their beers fresh. Live music some evenings, a carvery-style Sunday roast from 1:30pm, and a recently refreshed outdoor space with seriously recognisable street art.
